WP5 Objectives

Production of television series (28,5 minutes a piece) for a young and adult audience. The aim is to raise awareness of active citizenship, to further the development of European democracy by underlining the importance of participation and strengthening of common European values. The programs and an accompanying international website would be relevant for a large audience and could be used in several forms of educational activities.

WP5 Description of Work

The TV programs would be based on cases. They would focus on best practice examples from the different countries and thus inspire the audience. A modern format is to be used, including a dramatic type story line. Production would take in to account that a wide European broadcast and dissemination is intended. The Educational department of EBU has a long tradition in insuring coordination and quality of the products of the national broadcasters. A website would further expand on the subjects of the programs and include material for educational activities. European broadcasters TV-programme formats will be coordinated, the productions of national versions in each country are dubbed and subtitled.
