WP36 Objectives
The aim of the packages is twofold:
- to investigate through existing academic and policy literature the formation of gendered citizenship in both state, market and civil society
- to investigate the seeming lack of dialogue between feminist literature on citizenship and mainstream research on citizenship and civil society. Is it important to achieve a gendering of the research on citizenship? Is it important that feminists become more attentive to civil society as an arena of gendering processes? What might be the political aspects of those processes?
WP36 Description of work
Comparative analyses of gendered citizenship based upon secondary analyses using national and international sources, cases and examples from literature
Theoretical analyses of feminist literature on citizenship, mainstream literature on civil society and drawing upon the results from the comparative analyses.
