About the workshop
The workshop will be held in Vienna/Austria from 20th to 21st of September 2007 and focus on patterns and conditions of civic and political participation in European societies.
Preliminary program and composition of papers:
1. The methodological background of participation research
2. Theory of participation: contributions conceptualizing participation and/or explaining different forms and levels of participation
3. Empirical work on determining factors of civic participation
4. Comparative studies (bw. countries, cultures, gender)
5. Specific country analysis
6. The organisational perspective on participation
Deadline for abstracts: 22nd of June 2007
Costs
The workshop will be free of charge for paper givers, although participants should cover their travel costs.
