Tilburg University was founded in the Netherlands in 1927. It is a fully accredited government financed university with almost 10,000 students that specialises in social sciences and humanities. With faculties of Economics and Business Administration, Law, Social and Behavioural Sciences, Philosophy and Arts, it is the researchers at the following two institutes that are involved in the CINEFOGO Network of Excellence:
The Tilburg School of Politics and Public Administration is a research institute affiliated to the Faculty of Law. It has in recent years developed a research programme on contemporary developments in the non-profit sector that focuses on the effects of blurring boundaries between state, market and civil society.
Globus is an inter-faculty centre of Tilburg University for multi-disciplinary research in the areas of globalisation and sustainable development. Founded in 1998, Globus seeks to create critical debate among researchers, policy makers, decision makers, and other interested parties. To carry out these tasks, the centre initiates and organizes research projects, conferences, seminars, workshops, training programmes, and debates. Its research results are published in international scientific journals, in books and as reports in a special Globus series.

About Taco Brandsen

Taco Brandsen, Dr.is Assistant Professor at the Tilburg School of Politcs and Public Administration at Tilburg University in the Netherlands . His past work has focused on the effects of quasi-market governance in the welfare state, particularly in social housing. At present he participates in the Tilburg “Chameleon” research programme on the non-profit sector and in the Third Sector European Project, where he is secretary to the Study Group.
In recent years, Taco Brandsen has published and contributed to publications among others on social policy implementation, housing and the welfare state.
About Wim van de Donk (CRBI)

Wim van de Donk is Professor of Public Administration and Third Sector Organizations at Tilburg University in the Netherlands. He is member of the Scientific Council for Government Policy, Director of the Chameleon research programme on the non-profit sector at the Centre for Law, Informatization and Public Administration (CRBI) . Wim van de Donk is also Co-Director (with Prof. Victor Pestoff) of the permanent study group on third sector organizations of the European Group for Public Administration and he is Academic Director of the Master Programme on Management in the Non-Profit sector of Tias Business School.
Wim van de Donk has published on the introduction of new information and communication technologies in public and political life, with emphasis on civil society, Parliament, e-government and networks.
