The aim of the programme is to support an international strategic awareness among top decision makers with a background in different CSO’s, and various civil society contexts.
Development of the European system of governance - Theories, practices and myths
CINEFOGO researchers focus on the broad theme that is theories, practices and myths in relation to the European system of governance. The aim of the research is to contribute to the on-going discussion on European governance and its consequences for the EU polity, policy and politics.

Immigrants in the healthcare system – how to ensure access?
CINEFOGO researchers address a specific aspect of the highly topical issue of ethnic difference in EU welfare regime. The scope is to asses how institutions in different EU countries acknowledge ethnic differences and to what extent migrant groups have access to policy decisions on health care. The researchers recommend coherent immigration policies at European and Member State level and conclude that the increasing demand for healthcare requires a timely and effective policy to be undertaken.
How to cultivate "civility"in the field of social services?
CINEFOGO researchers have focused on the meaning of civility in the civil society debate, and conclude, that civicness is not exclusively a concern of state policies and administrations, nor is there a natural prior link of civicness with the operations of TSOs. Rather, civicness seems to be the outcome of the cooperation between various sides, where the hybridization of service organizations is key to enhance the civicness of services, and thereby cultivate civility in the field of social services.
Social rights as we know them are in trouble
CINEFOGO researchers observe differences in the new patterns of social policies across Europe, and generally find, that the field of social policy is becoming an area for changes concerning social citizenship rights, but moreover citizenship at large. The researchers conclude that much about social citizenship has to be reinvented.

CINEFOGO-WORKCARE Conference Programme
