  • CIVICUS - "The World Alliance working towards Citizens Participation" focus on areas of the world where citizens rights are challenged. Global headquarters are based in Johannesburg, South Africa. You can subscribe to CIVICUS mailing.
  • EAPNEAPN - "The European Anti Poverty Network" is a representative network of Non-Governmental Organisations and Groups involved in the fight against poverty and social exclusion.
  • ECPR logoECPR - the European Consortium for Political Research is an independent, scholarly association, which supports and encourages the training, research and cross-national cooperation of many thousands of academics and graduate students specialising in political science and all its subdisciplines.
  • EMESEMES - "The European Research Network" is a network of university research centers and individual researchers whose goal is to undertake high-impact and high-excellence research on socio-economic entities that, while increasingly important in Europe and elsewhere, are still poorly

  • The Johns Hopkins Center for Civil Society Studies seeks to improve understanding and the effective functioning of not-for-profit, philanthropic, or “civil society” organizations in the United States and throughout the world in order to enhance the contribution these organizations can make to democracy and the quality of human life.
  • United Nations Development Programme on Democratic Governance - UNDP's work in democratic governance is reinforced by its network of over 166 offices and its global partnerships with democratic governance institutions.
  • The United Nations and Civil Society - The United Nations is both participant in and a witness to increasingly global civil society.

  • The World Bank and Civil Society - provides with information and materials on the World Bank's evolving relationship with civil society.

  • Civil Society International (CSI) - assists independent organizations working for democracy and civil society in countries closed, or inhospitable, to these principles.
