About the conference
Strengthening participation and democratic decision-making with the use of ICT is one of the five major objectives in the i2010 eGovernment action plan.
eParticipation investigates possible uses of ICT to engage people in the democratic process. The networking session equally addresses eParticipation researchers and practitioners.
The objective is to bring together eParticipation key players in order to exchange ideas and experiences thus facilitate learning and formulating future collaborations.
The session expected results are:
(a) better understanding of the key research challenges;
(b) understanding of who-is-doing-what;
(c) establishment of links between key players; and
(d) identification of opportunities for future collaboration.
The session will start with introductions and statements of interest from participants followed by key presentations and discussions assisted by a facilitator.
Responsible institutions
The session is supported by DEMO-net, an EC co-funded eParticipation NoE.
