Good Governance: the key to effective homelessness policies
The Hague, 19 September 2008. This important research conference is aimed at researchers in the area of homelessness, representatives from homeless organisations, policy makers and other interested parties.
Governance is an important focus of current research into homelessness. This conference will be a unique opportunity for transnational exchange and networking on the theme of governance.
The morning Plenary session will be chaired by Sineke ten Horn, the keynote speakers will be:
- Prof. Dr. Judith Wolf, UMC St Radboud, Nijmegen, Netherlands - Policies and Challenges in reducing Homelessness in the Netherlands
- Prof. Denis Culhane (USA) - Overview of the Dynamics of Homelessness in the US
- Bill Edgar, Coordinator European Observatory on Homelessness - Reflections on Homelessness Research in Europe

Delegates are invited to a drinks reception at the end of the conference. At the same there will be a Poster Session - details will be available soon.
Fees & Accommodation
Day delegate fees include all conference materials, lunch, and refreshments.
Bookings which include an overnight stay also include dinner, accommodation and breakfast. Delegates will be staying at the IBIS hotel.
Day delegates can also book to attend the conference dinner on Friday, 19th September 2008.
Venue
The Conference will take place in the ZonMw building in the Hague, the Netherlands.
Directions
Travel to the Hague by rail or by air. There is a regular train service between Amsterdam Schiphol Airport and the Hague. There are flights to Schiphol from most European airports.
