WP21 The 8th PhD Network Meeting
The 8th PhD Network on the Third Sector and Civil Society meeting will be for the first time organised in Central and Eastern Europe on 22nd-25th of May 2008. Kaunas University of Technology, Lithuania offers a four days seminar for PhD students from all over the Europe to discuss their thesis as well as to participate in theoretical and practical sessions given by renowned scholars from Western and Eastern Europe. PhD Netvvork Meeting 2008 is the third seminar mainly supported by CINEFOGO and ERSTE Foundation.

WP30 Conference: Normative Implications of New Forms of Participation for Democratic Policy Processes
The conference coorganised by the Cinefogo network and Orebro University aims at addressing the broad theme of new forms of participation interfacing recently acquired empirical knowledge with a normative perspective. In particular, we are interested in assessing the normative implications of the institutionalization of participatory devices for democratic policy-making, requirements of representativeness and accountability and public control over binding collective decisions.
